PSHE
This is at the heart of what we do at the Golborne Centre. Our bespoke curriculum covers and addresses all the challenges young people are facing in mainstream. We divide this curriculum into three sections: Me, My world and My school.
In 'Me' sessions students will explore issues such as handling their anger, controlling their reactions, consequential thinking and their future vision and goals.
'My world' sessions explore the challenging landscape young people are navigating and equip them to do this successfully and safely. In these sessions we look at issues such as gangs, knife crime and keeping safe.
'My school' sessions focus on what happens back in mainstream school. In these sessions we explore why school is the way it is, how students can build good relationships with their teachers and ultimately how they can achieve the best possible outcomes from the years they are there.
